Nintendo's greenest, most-wanted console has been impossible to buy since September — and Best Buy just handed everyone a date and a parking lot. Select stores are opening at midnight for the Ocarina of Time launch on November 5, and the sold-out Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 will be there in limited quantities.

The prize itself. Gold Triforce accents, green Joy-Con 2 controllers, and a restock history that reads like a heist — it vanished "immediately" at its September 8 preorder, and eBay resellers wanted 50% markups within the day.

Ocarina of Time gets its Switch 2 remake the same night. Doors open 12 a.m. ET — 11 p.m. Central, 9 p.m. West Coast — and preorders can be flipped to store pickup so the cartridge is in your hand at the door.

Here's the catch Nintendo won't say out loud: the console runs $519.99 — $30 over the already-hiked standard model — and the game is not included. That's a separate $69.99 cartridge. The matching $99.99 Pro Controller is also sold out everywhere, so it's while-supplies-last too. Bold economics. Camping chair economics.
