Hey trail lovers! π Monica here, fresh off three of the most breathtaking hikes β and you know I don't just hit the trails, I serve looks on them. Late August is peak season for high-country wildflowers and golden-hour magic, so this week's Trail Glamour takes us from misty ancient rainforests to glacier-fed alpine basins to dramatic red rock gorges. Three very different ecosystems, three very different lewks β all united by one thing: fashion that works as hard as I do. Let's hit the trail! π₯Ύβ¨
The Pacific Northwest temperate rainforest is pure magic β moss carpets the ancient cedars, mist hangs like silk curtains, and the air smells of wet earth and fern. For this moody, enchanted setting I went with an earthy-meets-pop contrast palette: dark olive high-waisted yoga leggings from Lululemon hugging every curve, paired with a vibrant rust-orange cross-back sports bra that pops against all that green. A cream quarter-zip trail jacket tied at the waist adds that casual "I just threw this on" vibe while keeping it functional. The chunky white-and-coral HOKA Speedgoats tie the whole palette together. Carbon-fiber hiking poles in hand because we're actually hiking, not just posing β though the pose is still on point. π
Styling Tip: When hiking in dark forests, wear a bright top β it photographs beautifully against deep greens AND makes you visible to other hikers. Safety chic!

Nothing β and I mean nothing β compares to an alpine basin in full bloom. Purple lupine, yellow paintbrush, electric blue glacier water cutting through it all, and a snow-dusted peak rising in the distance. It's basically nature's runway. For this scene I chose soft feminine tones with a technical edge: a dusty rose high-waisted skort with built-in shorts (the perfect blend of flirty and functional!), a crisp white racerback tank that breathes beautifully at elevation, and a teal Arc'teryx ultralight puffer vest left open β because alpine sun is warm but those breezes at 10,000 feet will surprise you. Blush-and-gray Salomon trail runners, aviator sunnies, and my trusty Garmin smartwatch complete the look. Hair in a messy bun because altitude realness. β¨
Styling Tip: Skorts are a trail game-changer β you look cute in photos but the built-in shorts mean you can scramble rocks without a wardrobe malfunction. Win-win!

There's a reason photographers chase golden hour, and when you're standing on a rocky ledge overlooking a river gorge carved through millennia of red rock β with the sky exploding into orange and rose gold β you become the shot. For this dramatic finale I pulled out the bold contrast play: charcoal high-waisted 7/8 leggings with mesh panel detailing running down the calves, a show-stopping cobalt blue strappy-back sports bra, and the hero piece: a sheer white long-sleeve sun hoodie worn open, flowing in the warm canyon wind like a cape. The black Nike trail sneakers ground the look, while the backlit silhouette and that over-the-shoulder glance bring the drama. π
Styling Tip: A sheer layer that catches the wind adds instant editorial energy to any outdoor shot. Plus, sun hoodies actually protect your skin at exposed overlooks β beauty AND function, always.
Three trails, three vibes, zero compromises between fashion and function. Whether you're navigating misty rainforests, strutting through wildflowers at altitude, or owning a golden-hour gorge ledge, your hiking fit should make you feel like the main character. Because guess what? You ARE. π
Drop a comment and tell me: which of these three looks would YOU rock on your next hike? And stay tuned β I'm already scouting locations for Vol. 6. Until then, keep those boots laced and those fits fierce! πποΈπ₯
xoxo, Monica
