TOP FLOOR

TOP FLOOR πŸ›—βš‘

The ground floor was never the destination.

Tonight's Friday drop is built for the climb β€” TOP FLOOR, our Phonk House / Club banger at 128 BPM. The research says house phonk is THE breakout wave right now: phonk aesthetics over four-on-the-floor, built for clubs and dark rooms with real subwoofers. So we took the express elevator. Keycard in, top button pressed, doors open onto a sky-lobby club where the city is just light in the glass below your feet.

The concept: you left the lobby crowd in the rain. The keycard hums because it knows your name. Twenty floors of free-fall stomach-drop before the doors open β€” and up here the night never lands.

This one is sparse-vocal β€” twelve lines, no more, because the drop hook is the anchor and the beat needs room to do crime. The rhythm is strict four-on-the-floor with bouncy distorted 808 bass that jacks under every bar, and the distorted cowbell keeps that signature PhonkNation heartbeat through the whole ride.

The melody break β€” the Observatory Solo, 20 bars, fully instrumental: a glassy bell-pluck lead takes the melody alone, refracting like light through glass at altitude, riding the sliding 808s while the filter opens in slow waves over the skyline. Then Verse 2 levitates, and the Express Shaft switch-up cuts the drums completely β€” deep sub slides, stomach-drop tension, the party muffled above you β€” before the door chime and the final drop slams the floor open.

Cover art: surreal neon dreamscape β€” gilded elevator doors standing impossibly in open air at the top of the skyline, champagne-gold light spilling over cobalt clouds, chrome heels waiting by the doors. Recent styles avoided this run: abstract graphic (yesterday's DEAD AIR), monochrome grain (GRAVEYARD CHOIR), painterly (VELVET LULLABY), and the minimalist stamp from last Friday β€” the palette went champagne-gold and cobalt so it reads as a different night entirely.

Press the top button. Don't look down. πŸ””

[Verse 1]
Left the ground floor crew in the smoke and the rain
Keycard hums like it knows my name
Numbers climbing while the haters wait in line
Pressure on my chest and I'm feeling fine

[Drop Hook]
Top floor, lights low, city in the glass (yeah)
Bass hit the window make the rain dance back (uh)
No lobby, no waiting, straight up we blast
Up here the night never lands (grrt)

[Melody Break β€” Observatory Solo, 20 bars instrumental]
Glassy bell-pluck lead solo over sliding 808s, four-on-the-floor kick, distorted cowbell answering off-beat, filter sweeping open toward the skyline.

[Verse 2]
Mirrors on the ceiling, sneakers on the light
Whole crew levitating, we ain't touched the floor tonight
They pressed every button, we just pressed the one
Skyline in the sub-bass, party never done

[Express Shaft switch-up, 14 bars β€” drums OUT]
Free-fall sub slides, muffled party above, whisper only β€” then the door chime.

[Final Drop Hook]
Top floor, lights low, city in the glass (yeah)
Bass hit the window make the rain dance back (uh)
No lobby, no waiting, straight up we blast
Up here the night never lands (skrrt)

Stay high. Same floor next Friday. πŸ₯‚
