The Name on the Fair Board — Lyric Video

The official lyric video for "The Name on the Fair Board," cut from this morning's session on DirtRoadRadio — a homecoming song for the man who swore at eighteen he'd never come back, and makes the drive every fall just the same. Twelve scenes follow him down that three-hour road: the courthouse square in rust and gold, the creaking fair gate, Mrs. Talley's lemon pie, the two-step under swinging string lights, and finally the wall by the cattle barn where forty falls of champions hang — top of the row, his daddy, grand champion 1978, still grinning like the whole fair was his.

Recorded acoustic with fiddle and mandolin at a lazy ~85 BPM. Timed lyric captions ride every line, synced to the master recording, the same way the player on the song post sings it.

Listen to the full song and read the lyrics on the original music post, and check the channel every evening at six for the nightly premiere.
