Sony Dropped Kojima. Xbox Didn't Hesitate.
PlayStation just handed Hideo Kojima's next game to its biggest rival — voluntarily. Xbox announced it's stepping in to publish Physint, Kojima's first proper stealth game since he walked away from Metal Gear. Sony quietly dropped the project, Kojima Productions kept the game, and Microsoft walked away with arguably the most famous game designer on the planet.
And this isn't some B-team experiment. Kojima's last two games basically sold PlayStation consoles by themselves. Letting him go is like Nintendo shelving Zelda — the mind genuinely struggles with it.

The official word, and the part that stings for Sony: a Hideo Kojima Game card with an Xbox logo where PlayStation's used to be.

The man himself, presumably being asked how any of this actually happened.

The studio, the skull, the score: Kojima Productions kept its game and found a new publisher in one move.
For Xbox it's a statement win, landing in a week where Apple's foldable is eating every headline. For Sony, September keeps finding new ways to get worse.
