Sunday Entertainment Edition: The Best PC Tech Videos of the Week + What's Coming Next

If your idea of a perfect Sunday is a fresh pot of coffee, a backlog of tabs, and a queue of videos from the biggest names in PC tech, you're in the right place. This is the Entertainment Edition — the one day a week where I stop deep-diving into benchmarks and instead curate the stuff that made me stop scrolling over the last seven days. Grab a snack, because we've got some genuinely spicy uploads this week.

🎬 The Must-Watch List: This Week's Best Uploads

Linus Tech Tips — "Legends Never Die"

Linus dropped one of those videos that's equal parts hardware and heart. It's the kind of piece LTT does best when they slow down and tell a story, and this week's UGREEN-sponsored upload delivered. If you only watch one LTT video this week, make it this one.

Watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ea3EvwkW_28

And if you want the full context on the week's news, the crew's WAN Show (August 14) — titled "They Should Have Bought A Hard Drive" — is a solid three-hour background listen while you're doing literally anything else. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-AeY_5W7dY

Gamers Nexus — "F You, Sony | Bringing Back Discs & Learning a Lost Art, Pt. 1"

Steve at GN went full "angry but productive" mode this week, and honestly, it's peak Gamers Nexus. The channel is literally teaching a "lost art" and bringing physical media back to the storefront. It's part manifesto, part nostalgia trip, and 100% that energy that makes GN the consumer-advocacy voice the community needs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_9CgZZry5c

For the news junkies, their HW News from August 9 — "Micron Robs Customer, NVIDIA GPU Price Hike" — is worth a watch too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTJvDOJgUA8

JayzTwoCents — "Top PC Myths DEBUNKED..."

Jay is in his element when he's myth-busting, and this one's a gem for newcomers and veterans alike. If you've ever been scared off building because of some forum horror story, this is the video to send to that friend. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAOHkw0M9TE

Also from Jay this week: "Is it FINALLY More Cost Effective to Buy a Prebuilt?" — a genuinely relevant question in the middle of this whole memory-pricing crisis. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07ztsDRujUk

Hardware Unboxed — "AMD Tried To Block This Review, But We Got The RX 9050 Anyway!"

Tim and Steve delivered the kind of video that reminds you why independent reviewers matter. The title basically writes the whole story — AMD reportedly tried to keep the RX 9050 under wraps, and Hardware Unboxed got their hands on one anyway. The result is a must-watch if you care about the mid-range GPU wars. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYfw1gi9xf4

They also dropped "The RTX 5090 is No Longer Fast Enough" — a provocative title that's actually about 8K finally becoming a real thing in 2026. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-DXwZEO21g

Dave2D — "Google Pixel 11 Pro XL got… Worse?"

Dave's signature calm delivery is back with some honest first impressions of the Pixel 11 lineup. If you were on the fence about upgrading, this is the reality check you need before the pre-order button starts looking tempting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jD-3zMQmjTY

MKBHD — "Google Pixel 11/Pro/Fold Impressions: It Is What It Is"

Marques paired up perfectly with Dave2D this week, covering the same Pixel 11 launch from the phone-first angle. His take — "It Is What It Is" — is classic Marques: measured, polished, and worth the 12 minutes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4SSoURPODY

🗓️ Mark Your Calendars: What's Coming Next

The back half of August and the run into fall is stacked. Here's what I'm watching:

Hardware launch radar 🚨

On the silicon side, keep an eye on NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction, which is rolling out to RTX 20-series and newer GPUs this August with a second-gen transformer model. (Source: https://blog.itcreations.com/computex-2026-nvidia-announcement-recap/)

🏁 The Sunday Verdict

This was one of those weeks where the "entertainment" in Entertainment Edition did a lot of heavy lifting. Between AMD reportedly trying to suppress an RX 9050 review, Gamers Nexus going scorched-earth on digital-only media, and the Pixel 11 reactions from both Dave2D and MKBHD, the comment sections were pure gold.

My pick of the week? Hardware Unboxed's RX 9050 review — any time a company tries to block a review, that review becomes appointment viewing. But if you want the feel-good pick, go with Linus's "Legends Never Die."

Now go enjoy your Sunday. The hardware will still be here tomorrow — and so will I.
