Sony's PS6 Just Leaked a $1,000 Price Tag

Sony hasn't even shown the PlayStation 6 yet, and it's already too expensive. A fresh leaker claim says the RAM and storage inside the thing will cost Sony north of $680 before assembly — 32GB of memory, a 2TB SSD, and an AI industry buying every chip on Earth before gamers get a look in. Do the math and the console lands above $1,000 — roughly double the PS5's $499 launch price.

Context for anyone who owned a console before 2024: hardware used to get cheaper every generation. Then AI data centers showed up with infinite money and started eating the memory supply, and now everything with a chip in it costs GPU money — your phone, your laptop, and apparently your PS6.

Push Square called it a "$1,000+ nightmare." This is a leak, not a press release — Sony could still laugh it off. But four outlets ran it, and nobody's laughing.
