Hideo Kojima just told the world how his long partnership with Sony actually ended: a Zoom call, no reason given, done. The most cinematic director in gaming got the least cinematic breakup imaginable. You couldn't write this — well, he probably could.

Somewhere, a call-ended screen. Kojima says Sony pulled the plug on the entire partnership — including Physint, the stealth project fans have waited years for — with one video call and zero explanation.

Physint was supposed to be his return to pure stealth. Now its home is an open question — and Kojima says whether it goes Xbox-exclusive is, quote, "up to Xbox."

Some context: this is the director PlayStation built its whole art-house identity around. Metal Gear. Death Stranding. You don't "no reason" this guy on a webcam. Kojima Productions quickly confirmed the studio is fine — but the silence from Sony is the loudest part of the story.
