Rockstar just found a way to charge $400 for GTA 6 without selling you GTA 6. The Goodtime State Vice City Collection went up for preorder today at $399.99 — a premium collector's box that ships with absolutely zero game inside.
Here's what four hundred bucks gets you: the collector's box itself, art prints, and physical memorabilia celebrating Vice City. What it doesn't get you is the most anticipated game of the decade — which still doesn't have a release date beyond a vague "coming 2026." Pre-orders are live right now, "while supplies last."
To be fair, collector's editions skipping the disc is nothing new — Bethesda's $200 Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition famously shipped without a game in the box. But those editions at least arrived alongside the game they celebrated. This one asks fans to finance the hype first: four hundred bucks of merch for something you cannot play yet.
