Twenty-five years after we starved digital pets for fun, the two biggest AI companies on Earth are doing it again — with eyes this time. At DevDay, OpenAI launched Dots, personal AI agents as little colored blobs with eyes, and Sam Altman called putting one in a physical device "a very reasonable thing to assume." That's CEO for: it's coming. The Jony Ive-designed hardware ships no earlier than February 2027.
