Hold Your Peace — Official Lyric Video
Some songs you write for the charts. This one I wrote for pew nine.
This is the lyric video for "Hold Your Peace" — the Grand Ballad Sunday release — now a full-length film of stained-glass light: an emerald-gowned woman walking through somebody else's wedding, keeping the seat, mouthing the amen, and giving peace as the last gift she has to give.
The bridge says it plain: "it's not the thing I lost — it's the last thing that I get to give."
The film
Thirteen generated scenes carry the waltz — the churchyard walk in slate gray, pew nine, the guest-book pen chained down, the pipe organ, the confetti she kept since June, the reception where she claps on the one and three while the band plays "our song" (it's just a song now). Stained-glass amber, rose and emerald light throughout, candle gold, and the chapel's windows left glowing warm at the end — she leaves the light on for them.
