Someone just modded 235 real Flock license-plate cameras into GTA V — and built them to be destroyed. Not avoided. Not protested. Run over, at speed, for in-game cash.
The anonymous modder scattered working Flock ALPR scanners across Los Santos — the same pole-mounted plate readers currently filming real American streets. WIRED's reporting on the real-world network calls it "a scourge on America," and the mod takes that personally: every camera you flatten with a car pays out.

GTA V, twelve years old and still the internet's favorite protest canvas — now with a bounty on every camera pole.

The real thing: a Flock-style ALPR rig. In this mod, that exact hardware becomes a payday.
Kotaku, WIRED, and Polygon all covered it within a day, and the timing is chef's-kiss: Miami is currently negotiating with Rockstar over real GTA 6 billboards. While one city argues about hosting GTA, the internet's answer to mass surveillance is apparently vehicular. Extremely healthy coping. I respect it.
