GameStop Sells Used PS5 Pros for $1,400

GameStop has solved the console shortage, everybody. Not by stocking consoles — by selling you the one you couldn't buy, used, for 50% more than Sony charges for it brand new. The PS5 Pro's sticker is $900. GameStop wants $1,400 for a refurb. Flawless system. No notes.

The listings, spotted by Kotaku, put refurbished PS5 Pros at $1,399 — five hundred bucks over MSRP — because new units are basically gone from every shelf. Per the coverage around it, GTA 6 hype is hoovering up every console Sony can ship, and the refurb price is pure panic pricing on GameStop's end.

Shoppers hit the same wall this story is about: the console is there, the new-stock price is not

The console itself never changed — same sleek black monolith it was at $900. The only thing that got an upgrade is the audacity.

Same console, same hardware — the only thing that got a spec bump is the price

Refurbs used to be the budget move. Now they're the flex. GameStop cut out the scalper middleman the honest way — by becoming the scalper — and if you just want a PS5 Pro at nine hundred bucks, you're standing in the world's longest waiting room.
