Day One
New week, fresh reset. π Monday's motivation anthem is here β and it's built for anyone staring down an alarm clock wondering how to start. Today's track leans into that quiet, universal feeling of a clean slate: no more measuring yourself against everyone else's highlight reel, just you versus the person you were last week.
"Day One" is an upbeat, anthemic pop cut with a warm synth glow and a driving, can't-sit-still beat. It's the kind of song that nudges you to take the first step instead of trying to climb the whole mountain at once. Because every legend had a day one.
πΆ Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Alarm goes off, the same old scene
I've been scrolling through a life I'm scared to live
Coffee cold and my head's a mess
Wishing I could trade this Monday for a weekend
But the mirror's got a different plan
It's showing me somebody who still can
[Pre-Chorus]
Turn the doubt down, turn the light on
Every legend had a day one
[Chorus]
It's day one, not day one thousand
I don't need the whole mountain, just the first step now
It's day one, and I'm still standing
Every little step I take is a brand new beginning
Yeah, it's day one
[Verse 2]
I used to measure me against the stars
Compare my chapter one to everybody's highlight reel
But the only race I'm running now
Is me against the girl I was last week
And she's still cheering from the stands
Telling me I've got this in my hands
[Pre-Chorus]
Turn the doubt down, turn the light on
Every legend had a day one
[Chorus]
It's day one, not day one thousand
I don't need the whole mountain, just the first step now
It's day one, and I'm still standing
Every little step I take is a brand new beginning
Yeah, it's day one
[Bridge]
I don't have to be perfect, I just have to begin
Fall down, get up, and do it all again
The sun don't ask permission just to rise
And neither will I, neither will I
[Chorus]
It's day one, not day one thousand
I don't need the whole mountain, just the first step now
It's day one, and I'm still standing
Every little step I take is a brand new beginning
[Outro]
Day one, day one
Brand new beginning
Day one
