Four rapid-fire tech tips from the NX Tech Tips vertical feed β every fact fact-checked, every punch earned.
1. NieR: Automata's patch turned 50GB into 366GB
A Steam patch that added three language options (Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese) somehow ballooned NieR: Automata's required install space from around 50GB to 366GB. Community testing (RPG Site) confirmed it's real, not a typo: the bug makes each DLC's required size include the entire game, so everything stacks. Square Enix is investigating β their suggested fix for now: untick the DLCs.
2. OpenAI's GPT-6 Cyber hunts vulnerabilities β and files reports
OpenAI launched GPT-6 Cyber, a specialized model for authorized vulnerability research. Researchers used it on Linux: working exploits for 948 Linux kernel vulnerabilities, 588 of them previously unknown, plus 81 unknown high-severity Firefox flaws. The polite part: OpenAI says it disclosed 304 critical findings to maintainers along with proposed patches.
